Description
Fray Jorge National Park, is managed by CONAF, measured 9.959.hm ² hectares for the protection of flora that is typical of the south of Valdivia forest type is characteristic only of southern Chile.
The forest located 3 kilometers of coastline, grows to 600 feet above sea level and owes its existence to precipitation which produces the mist, their average year in the region is 113 mm, while in the park averages between 800 and 1000 mm.
For the ocean winds, creates a microclimate suitable for the development of a wide variety of Flora as Olivillo, Cinnamon, myrtles, ferns and vines, añañucas, Azulillos, Lilies of the field, and chives, etc.
The park's fauna is represented mainly by birds and some twenty species of mammals such as partridges, quails, finches, thrushes, diuca, Small, Hummingbirds, tench, etc..
Among the most common mammals culpeo, hopefully you can see, wild cats, skunks, quiques, small rodents and bats.
Two-day tour, departing from Santiago at 07:30 hours to arrive at the park at 12:00, is armed camp, and afternoon tours, dinner in the evening ending with a campfire.
The second day breakfast, then a field trip on Flora and Fauna Park. Lunch and return to Santiago at 15:00.
