Parque Nacional Nevado Tres Cruces

Description

Excursion to Nevado Tres Cruces National Park in Atacama, between the Domeyko and Claudio Gay mountains, III Region of Atacama.
From any of these points it is possible to appreciate the concentration of high peaks existing in the area, being the Ojos del Salado volcano, the highest in the world and in Chile with 6,879 masl.
The northern sector of the Park is formed, mainly by the Maricunga salt flat and Laguna Santa Rosa.
The park was conceived, as such, in order to protect the Altiplano ecosystem and its scarce and interesting flora and fauna, where we will have the possibility to see: Vicuñas, Flamingos, Foxes, wild donkeys, and a great variety of birds in the Altiplanic lagoons. A true adventure excursion, suitable for people with physical conditions according to the activity and willing to share an adventure
Program
4 days of hiking, camping and teamwork
Departure from Santiago at 10:00 p.m. directly to Copiapo, possibility of public bus, private van, plane
Day 1 Arriving in Copiapo, some purchases are made and we leave in the direction of the Nevado Tres Cruces National Park up to the Santa Rosa Lagoon 3762 masl. camping and acclimatization with walks in the surroundings
Day 2 at 08:00 Breakfast, excursions through the Santa Rosa Lagoon, photographs and acclimatization. trekking in the surroundings, leaving Laguna Santa Rosa we visit Salar de Maricunga towards Laguna Verde 4350 masl., camping
Day 3 Breakfast and Trekking around Laguna Verde, photographs and hot springs. Puna area.
16 hours return to Serena begins, Hostel shared rooms
Day 4 Breakfast and tour of Serena, Cross of the III Millennium
13 hours Snack
14 hours return to Santiago
